        "content": "Gemma-Leigh started in radio at just 15 on her school station before moving into local radio, where she picked up two Silver Awards for Best Female Presenter at the National Community Radio Awards (2019 & 2020).\n\nShe first joined BFBS in 2021 and has since covered everything from history-making aviation milestones to poignant military commemorations\u2014including the inaugural SAF (Sustainable Aviation Flight), the Falklands 40th anniversary, the Flight of the Giraffes, 47 Squadron\u2019s stand-down Parade, and the retirement of the C130 Hercules.\nIn 2023 she won Best Entertainment Show for the BFBS Brize Norton Breakfast Show, along with a Bronze for Best Female Presenter.\n\nHer career highlight is being a guest at Kings Coronation at Buckingham Palace thanks to Queen Camilla our BFBS Patron. \n\nShe\u2019s not just got a face for radio\u2026she featured on BBC One\u2019s Young Welsh & Pretty Minted, teaching YouTube star Gonth the ropes of radio, and has even popped up on Hollyoaks and Coronation Street. And because she\u2019s clearly not one to shy away from a challenge, she once threw herself out of a plane (skydive and all!) to raise money for the RAF Association.\n\nWhen she\u2019s not on air, you\u2019ll find her scrolling TikTok, lost in a thriller, or nose-deep in an autobiography.\n\nYou can hear her on BFBS Brize Norton's Breakfast show.",
